 The valet bar is perfect for the laundry room or closet. I purchased one for the laundry and it is wonderful to have a retractable bar for hanging the "just out of the dryer" clothes. It works great for drying items on hangers, too. This bar is longer and better quality version than I have seen in stores. I will be purchasing another for the closet to hang my outfit the night before for work the next morning. Not as nice as the one I got from California closets and doesn't slide quite as nicely, but it was 1/4 the price. It's relatively attractive and does the job just fine.
Install wasn't not too difficult. You have to measure carefully and make sure it is level. Also, the little hex screw was a little difficult to hold on to.
For the money, it is WAY better than the Cal Closet version. Have one in my laundry room, for clothes as they come out of the dryer another in my sewing room, for items to be worked on or steaming out the wrinkles another is in my husband's closet - to set aside his suit for the next day.
