It doesn't use electricity, doesn't offer or need a service contract, and seems to be a simple, unique answer to seemingly ever increasing shredding needs. I even bought two more as gifts to my daughter and sister-in-law. Pros:Ingenuous, Durable, Well Built, IngeniousCons:Unknown durabilityI would recommend this item to a friend.
