This is great since I usually have lots of fruits and veggies in the fridge but take my time to finish them. They last so much longer in these containers!
The "6-piece set" threw me off though -- thought i was going to get 6 containers.. but ended up with 3... because the tops count as separate pieces. Left-overs and perishables never used to last in my refrigerator and I would throw them out before getting a chance to eat them. Now with my Lock & Lock storage containers I'm able to keep my food fresh for much longer.
I put everything in them from raw vegetables to soups and cereal. Being a single woman it takes much longer to go through foods as fast as a family would so I found these extremely useful and worth paying a bit more than disposable containers.
The only warning I have is to take note of the measurements listed. The pictures look much larger than the actual size of the containers.
