It took me about 3 minutes to install and is strong enough for me to hang several items of clothing as I take them out of the dryer. Then, when I'm through, I simply return the arm to the "down" position and it's out of the way. What I like best, besides being so easy to install, is that it's extremely sturdy. No hangers falling down, etc. I highly recommend this to everyone. (P.S. Price is great, too!) Installed in a stud, it's steady and works great. I ended up using some of my own wood screws since the ones provided were a bit too short to reach the stud properly. Ample room to hang a large load of clothes on hangars and easily tolerates the weight. Folds down out of the way when not in use, or when strategically placed, can be kept up and not be in the way of opening doors or cupboards. I highly recommend this product for hanging clothes.
