It is indeed a one of a kind, unique contraption. But it is not very sturdy. The heat resistant silicone pads advertised are just 2 small buttons on each end. The device does not cradle the iron too well. It does serve a function and allows you more room on your board. It is either buy this or get a brand new board with a built in iron rest. This product costs less than a new board with a rest included.
Pros:
Space saver on board, Unique
Cons:
Could scratch your iron, Tiny pad of silicone, Not real sturdy
I would recommend this item to a friend.
Works great, just as expected.

I had been looking for this product in all the major stores for some time; to no avail. It was refreshing to find it so quickly on the internet.I just went to Google and was given a bazillion sites for "iron rest". After I made my search a little more specific, I located Organize.com and found it quickly. It works fine, just as implied, easy to put on with 2 thumbwheel screws from below the ironing board. Only thing I must say is, don't try to rest the ironing board on the back end when your go to store it away. Buy the holder made for this purpose and screw that into the wall (into studs preferably) and hang the ironing board from it; otherwise you may have to rest the ironing board on its' nose end to avoid bending or breaking the iron rests' plastic screws. Other than that it's a fine product in its'simplicity and usefulness.
