I never finish a full can of soda but I hate flat soda. I've tried other soda can caps but they don't work nearly as well as this one.
Yes, its a bit odd to pump air into the can and it can take more than 1-2 pumps --it depends how much soda is left in the can.
But a few pumps so I don't have to waste a partial can of soda seems great to me.

I rarely drink an entire can of pop at one sitting. This product allows me to place it back into the frig and drink it later. This product is simple to use and it really works. My pop keeps its fizz and flavor. I will be purchasing additional ones for my kids. She usually only drinks half a can at a time and throws out the rest because it goes flat. I bought her a couple of lids and she used them for a while but stopped since the drink still was flatter than when it was first opened. It's not because the lids didn't work. It's because the drinks naturally lose some fizz just by opening them. She didn't think it worked well enough to make it worth the effort of putting on the lid and pumping it each time.
I guess you can't please everyone. Even when I'm very picky with the taste of flat sodas, I find the drink still very enjoyable.
I've had this product since few months ago and it still works as the first day, it's very durable.
